so my roommate was leaving work today to go to a doctor's appointment, and jokingly told her boss as she was leaving. "i have a doctor's appointment, it's a boy!" her and her coworkers laughed, and her boss said, "well then you wouldn't have a job anymore!" JIGGA WHAT! apparently it was a joke, but that is (1) soooo fucking WRONG, and (2) illegal for her to say that in the workplace!! what the fuck! i understand that academia is cutthroat and all, but that is so fucked up, and she's a woman! another reason i would rather have a male boss- women hate women, and will destroy each other, no joke.
